Saturday....

I was supposed to go watch one of my daughters run a race this morning. I got side ways about something last night and decided I would not go. Wish I had , hope she did well. We always help with the race , spot for the runners so they stay on course, set up and take down, etc. This would have been 5 yrs. in a row.
She is an excellent runner. She practises hard and is very attuned to what her coach is telling her to do. She has a talent for it and will get at least three full ride college scolarship offers for running.
Some times I feel like a dufus and this is one of those times !

amazed

I am utterly amazed at how our country can publicize mistreated animals, abused cats or dogs and fill news publications with cute pictures of said animals, fill the air waves about their trials and ignore some of the worst atrocities happening in the history of mankind. Abortion, the killing of young, unborn children, the homeless of the world, the enslavement of young girls and boys into the sex trade.
Abortion is murder. Period. The mother had the right to keep this from happening to begin with. Why snuff out a life that has no way to help itself.
Sex slaves. The use of young children to find sexual pleasure, whether it is girls or boys, is hideous at best.
Homeless people are with us until the end of time. Just as the poor are with us, we are called to help all those in need.
Adoption, not abortion is the answer. We as Christians must look to those who are available for adoption, those wanting a forever home, and find a way for this to happen. Those who want the children but cant afford the up front costs must be helped by those of us who can help with the costs but are unable ourselves to adopt. It is these children who get preyed upon to fill the ranks of the sex trade.
A sad but true fact, if Christians stopped having abortions the clinics providing them would go out of business.
Enough of this ramble... I've had my say...........

PS>>>>>  I am the proud owner of 4 dogs, 4 cats and a horse. I am also the proud parent of four girls and two boys, five of which are adopted.

Bedzzz

I work for a company called Bedzzz Express. We sell mattress sets and the soft goods that go with them. Sales are differant for me but I have gotten the hang of it.

We now have a new addition to our family, her name is Bella and she is a Great Pyrenees. She was 5 weeks old when we brought her home and she is now 9 weeks. She weighed 11 lbs. when she got here and has gained 12 lbs. so far. She is sweet, loving, barks a lot, misses the paper more than she hits it but is the hit of the family. Except for the other dogs who think she is pushy, mouthy and just plain obnoxious and she is taking there time from us.

STORMS

It has been a long time since I last posted. Much has changed. First , we have survived the storms that have ravaged our state over the last two weeks. The huge tornado that struck from Tuscaloosa to the north side of Birmingham missed us by about 3 or 4 miles. The destruction it caused is terrible and the lives it took and disrupted is almost hard to fathom.
I have changed jobs and now work as a salesman for a bedding outlet. It is completely different from I used to do but I enjoy it and am learning new things every day.
The family is well except for Wife who got thrown from our horse last Saturday night. She broke her left ankle and has been uncomfortable since. Although she does enjoy the special attention she is receiving from the family.
Spring is here and I have started The Garden Of Even, even though I don't what I am doing it still produces vegetables and fruits. God is good and we are Blessed !!

Home Home Home

I ve been home now since mid April with out any real good job options. I have been able to do some things around here that I ahd not had time to do before.
I am finishing about half of our basement that was nothing but storage. I have learned how to hang dry wall, frame a door and put a suspended ceiling up. None of it has come easy but I am almost finished and it is looking good. We will have a very nice laundry/work out room soon.
Summer is here and it is hot! The garden of Even is going well this year. I used a roto-tiller to break up the ground and used the compost I have been making since last fall. The corn is seven feet tall and should be ready in abot three weeks. The first zucchini squash and tomatoes will be ready in the next two. The peppers are looking good but will be a little longer coming.
Life is good and my family is doing well.
