Drivers License

Thursday was a big day at our house. Nicole and Catherine went for their driver's license test and both passed. But not without a little drama. Catherine had not heard of the emergency brake. It was always refered to her as the parking brake. When she was not able to identify it she was forced to get in the back of the line and wait her turn again. Upon her second try she had no problems and passed with flying colors.
Ah, the little things in life that seem so big at the time they happen.

GOOD FREINDS

Good food and good Friends equals good times. We have all known each other for over twenty years. Ron & Mary, Pastor David, Alan & Marcia. We just seem to pick up where we laughed off no matter how long between visits.

Then after the cold came some snow. We dont get much here but when it comes it only lasts a day or two and is gone. This year we have had five of these. Norm is one every two years.

Changes

Just like that old David Bowie song, Changes, I am taking this blog in a differant direction. I am changing it from a print to a picture format. I bought a nice camera for Christmas this year and I am going to take pictures of my home town, Trussville, and attempt to show it off to you.

To start I will use some of the first pix I took while it was cold.

cold

The little pond in our neighbors back yard froze over this winter during those 18 degree days. Even the horse wanted to come in.
Our big red dog, Buddy, was glad to be inside.
